Seth Tulsidas

was regarded by the Banks as their confidential adviser. Shri. Tulsidas used to represent issues involving the trade to the port authorities and steamship companies and used to resolve the issues to the satisfaction of Clearing Agents and trade in general. Shri. Tulsidas made firm and fair representations before the authorities to solve the difficulties of Custom house agents. Shri. Tulsidas Khimji became the founder President of the Clearing Agents Association, Bombay in 1938 and continued till 1948.

Shri Karsandas Tulsidas Khimji

Following his father’s legacy, Shri Karsandas became one of the most respected leaders in the customs clearing and logistics industry. He served as President of the Clearing Agents Association, Bombay from 1948–1963 and again from 1965–1966. He was actively involved in the Bombay Port Advisory Committee, Railway Sub-Committee of Bombay Chamber of Commerce, Export-Import Sub-Committee of the Indian Merchants’ Chamber, and Customs Advisory Committee. In 1962–63, he became Founder President of the Federation of Custom House Agents’ Associations in India and was later honoured as its permanent “President of Honour” for his distinguished service. He was also appointed to the Central Customs & Excise Advisory Council by the Government of India.Additionally, he was among the ten founding members of the Air Cargo Agents Association of India (ACAAI), contributing to the establishment and growth of a unified platform for India's air cargo and freight forwarding industry.

Shri Moolsinh Karsandas, grandson of Founder Shri Tulsidas Khimji and son of Shri Karsandas, carried forward the family's legacy with a strong commitment to both business excellence and the advancement of India's logistics industry. Alongside his leadership at Tulsidas Khimji Pvt. Ltd., he played an active role in strengthening the country's freight forwarding and air cargo sector through dedicated service to leading industry associations. He served as Honorary Secretary General of the Air Cargo Agents Association of India (ACAAI) and contributed significantly to the Bombay Custom House Agents Association (now BCBA) and the Federation of Freight Forwarders' Associations in India (FFFAI). His efforts promoted professional collaboration, strengthened industry representation, and supported the organised growth of India's logistics ecosystem, further reinforcing TKPL's reputation as one of the country's most respected logistics organisations.

Shri Shantu Bhatia, grandson of Founder Shri Tulsidas Khimji, combined academic excellence with visionary leadership during a period of continued growth for the company. A graduate of Bombay University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from UCLA, California, he guided Tulsidas Khimji Pvt. Ltd. while contributing significantly to the logistics industry. He actively served the Air Cargo Agents Association of India (ACAAI), Bombay Custom House Agents Association (BCBA), and Federation of Freight Forwarders' Associations in India (FFFAI), helping strengthen India's freight forwarding and customs brokerage profession. His service through the Lions Club of Bombay reflected the family's enduring belief that leadership extends beyond business into industry and community development.

Fourth Generation | Modernising TKPL & Advancing Industry Leadership

Shri Hemant M. Bhatia, son of Late Shri Moolsinh Karsandas, joined Tulsidas Khimji Pvt. Ltd. in 1981 and represented the fourth generation of leadership. A Commerce graduate from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce & Economics, he enhanced his expertise through professional training with Crowe & Co. Ltd., Basel, Switzerland, the prestigious IATA/FIATA Diploma, Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) certification, and advanced programmes conducted by IATA and leading airlines. He served on the Managing Committee of the Air Cargo Club of Bombay, was elected Chairman of ACAAI – Western Region, later served on ACAAI's Managing Committee, and became Honorary Secretary General of ACAAI in 2007. His leadership strengthened both TKPL's national presence and India's air cargo industry.

Shri Rajen S. Bhatia, son of Shri Shantu K. Bhatia, serves as the Managing Director of Tulsidas Khimji Pvt. Ltd., leading strategic direction, international partnerships, overseas business development and commercial expansion. He has completed specialised programmes in Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR), Advanced Cargo Management, executive education in Logistics Management from IIM Ahmedabad, Customs Law, Family Business Leadership from IIM Bangalore, and Certified Corporate Directorship from the World Council for Corporate Governance, London. Since September 2023, he has served as Chairman of ACAAI Western Region, actively contributing to the growth and development of India's air cargo and logistics industry.

Devansh R. Bhatia represents the fifth generation of leadership at Tulsidas Khimji Pvt. Ltd., combining a rich family legacy with global education and international logistics experience. He holds an MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Cranfield University, United Kingdom, and has gained hands-on experience across logistics operations in both India and London. He has also completed DGCA-authorised Dangerous Goods Management training, further strengthening his expertise in handling regulated cargo. Focused on innovation, digital transformation, strategic growth and global expansion, he is committed to leading TKPL into its next chapter while preserving the values that have defined the organisation for more than 130 years.
